Glutathione in Karachi
Glutathione, the body's own antioxidant, given as a REVIV booster shot or within the REVIVe drip. Honest advice on what it can do for radiance, and what it cannot do for skin colour.
Is glutathione right for me?
- For antioxidant support, dull or tired skin, and recovery after illness, travel or a demanding stretch.
- A booster shot takes a few minutes; the REVIVe drip takes thirty to sixty minutes in a private lounge.
- It is not a treatment for melasma or a way to change skin colour; for pigment the clinic has treatments that work.
Antioxidant support, honestly explained.
Glutathione is an antioxidant the body makes every day, mostly in the liver. It protects cells from oxidative stress and helps the body process toxins. Levels fall with age, illness, poor sleep and long stretches of stress, which is why it features in several of REVIV’s formulations.
In Pakistan glutathione is mostly sold as a whitening injection, often with the promise of a permanent change in skin colour. The evidence does not support that. In a placebo-controlled trial from Multan, published in the Journal of Pakistan Association of Dermatologists, women received twelve high-dose glutathione infusions over six weeks. A minority saw some lightening, the effect faded once treatment stopped, and side effects included abnormal liver tests. The US FDA has not approved any injectable product for skin lightening, and the Philippine FDA has warned against using glutathione this way.
At the clinic glutathione is given for what it does well: antioxidant support, as a REVIV booster shot or within the REVIVe drip, after a short screening and under Dr. Fehmida’s supervision. If your real concern is dark patches, melasma or uneven tone, she will say so at the consultation and plan a treatment that changes pigment, such as laser toning or the Melasma and Pigment Clinic protocol.

"Patients often ask me for glutathione to change their colour. I would rather tell them the truth: it is a useful antioxidant, not a whitening treatment. For pigment, I have tools that actually work."

Ask on WhatsAppNot reliably. Studies show a small, temporary effect in some people at best, and it fades once treatment stops. The US FDA has not approved any injectable product for skin lightening. The clinic uses glutathione as antioxidant support, not to change skin colour.
Given at sensible doses by trained staff after screening, it is generally well tolerated. High-dose whitening courses from unregulated sources carry real risks, including allergic reactions and abnormal liver tests. That is why the clinic uses pharmaceutical-grade REVIV formulations under medical supervision.
The booster shot is a quick injection of glutathione. The REVIVe drip combines glutathione with alpha lipoic acid, NAC, vitamin C, zinc and B vitamins over thirty to sixty minutes. The screening decides which suits you.
Dr. Fehmida sets the schedule at your consultation. Most patients have it as an occasional top-up rather than an intensive course.
Pigment is treated where it sits, in the skin. Laser toning, depigmentation peels, Sylfirm X and prescription creams, planned for brown skin at the Melasma and Pigment Clinic, change pigment in a way glutathione does not.
The evidence for tablets is limited and the effects modest. Some creams give mild brightening. Neither replaces daily sun protection and a proper pigment plan.
No. Glutathione shots and drips are not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Pricing depends on whether you choose a booster shot or a drip. Ask on WhatsApp for the current menu.
