Who we are

This website belongs to the Dr. Fehmida Arif Clinic, 200/1 Clifton 1, Block 5, Clifton, Karachi, Pakistan. When this policy says “we” or “the clinic”, it means us. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@doctorfehmida.com or on 0301 827 9630.

What we collect, and why

When you ask us to call you back. The callback form asks for your name, your WhatsApp number, the area you are interested in and anything you choose to tell us. We use it only to contact you about your enquiry and to arrange a consultation. The form is sent to the clinic’s own mailbox.

When you message us on WhatsApp. The WhatsApp buttons open a chat with the clinic’s number. That conversation happens on WhatsApp, which is run by Meta under its own privacy policy. The clinic’s team reads and replies to your messages, and we keep them only as long as they are useful for your care or your enquiry.

When you become a patient. Medical records, consent forms and clinical photographs are collected at the clinic, not through this website. They are kept confidential, used only for your treatment, and shared only with your written permission or where the law requires it.

When you browse. Like most websites, our server records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, so that the site works, stays secure and can be improved. If we use analytics or advertising tools, they may set cookies; you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Videos. Videos on this site are hosted on YouTube. We load YouTube’s player only when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Once a video plays, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.

When you use the Skin Concierge. The Skin Concierge answers questions using the information on this website. We keep the questions people ask, with names, phone numbers and email addresses removed, so the clinic can see what patients want to know and improve its answers. We do not link them to you. If the clinic switches on AI-written replies, your question, the last few messages of the same chat and the relevant text from this website are sent to Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, to write the reply, under Anthropic’s commercial terms. Please do not type personal medical details into the concierge; for advice on your own skin, message the clinic.

What we never do

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with anyone for their own marketing. We never publish a patient’s photograph, name or story without that patient’s written consent.

Who else handles your information

A small number of trusted services help us run the site and the clinic, such as our website host, our email provider and WhatsApp. They handle your information only to provide that service. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a consultation are deleted once they are no longer needed, and in any case within two years. Patient records are kept for as long as medical good practice and the law require.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete enquiry details we no longer need. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Email info@doctorfehmida.com and we will reply within a reasonable time.

Keeping it safe

The site runs over an encrypted connection, the admin area is protected by two-factor sign-in, and access to enquiries is limited to the clinic team who need it.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date below.
