Antioxidant support, honestly explained.
Glutathione is an antioxidant the body makes every day, mostly in the liver. It protects cells from oxidative stress and helps the body process toxins. Levels fall with age, illness, poor sleep and long stretches of stress, which is why it features in several of REVIV’s formulations.
In Pakistan glutathione is mostly sold as a whitening injection, often with the promise of a permanent change in skin colour. The evidence does not support that. In a placebo-controlled trial from Multan, published in the Journal of Pakistan Association of Dermatologists, women received twelve high-dose glutathione infusions over six weeks. A minority saw some lightening, the effect faded once treatment stopped, and side effects included abnormal liver tests. The US FDA has not approved any injectable product for skin lightening, and the Philippine FDA has warned against using glutathione this way.

Most so called whitening injections sold in salons and online are high doses of glutathione, often mixed with vitamin C, and sometimes with unlisted ingredients. Their source and sterility are often unknown, which is the main danger. The clinic only uses pharmaceutical grade REVIV formulations at sensible doses.
No number of injections reliably changes your natural skin colour, so the clinic does not sell whitening courses. If your goal is a brighter, more even tone, laser toning, peels and prescription care for pigment give results you can actually see, and glutathione can sit alongside them as antioxidant support.
At sensible doses after screening, side effects are uncommon. Reported problems include allergic reactions, rashes, stomach upset and abnormal liver tests, and rare serious skin reactions have been reported with high dose whitening courses. Unregulated injections also carry a risk of infection.
A tan fades on its own over a few weeks with daily sunscreen and sun avoidance. Glutathione does not speed this up in any reliable way. For stubborn tan and sun damage, Dr. Fehmida may suggest laser toning or a series of peels.
