Fotona’s Er:YAG fractional laser resurfaces the skin with the wavelength most precisely absorbed by water, which means very controlled ablation and less heat than CO2. For brown skin that is the difference between a resurfacing treatment that is safe and one that is risky. It treats acne scars, open pores, fine lines, sun damage and rough texture, and can be tuned from light to deep.
The clinic uses the Fotona fractional laser in light mode for texture and glow with a day or two of downtime, and in deeper mode for scars with three to five days of peeling. Three to four sessions a month apart is usual for scars; one or two for texture.
