PB Serum is enzyme therapy. Recombinant enzymes, lipase, collagenase and hyaluronidase, are injected into the tissue where they break down what has built up in the wrong place: fibrous tissue in cellulite and scars, localised fat, excess hyaluronic acid and the fibrosis that follows surgery or injections. The enzymes work for days and then are cleared, leaving smoother, more even tissue.
The clinic uses PB Serum for cellulite, localised fat and fibrosis on the body, for double chin and jowls, for scars and post-surgical lumps, and for the skin-quality component of ageing where the enzymes stimulate remodelling. It is combined with radiofrequency, Emsculpt Neo and skin tightening for the body, and with Endolift and fillers for the face.
The number of sessions differs from person to person and is decided by Dr. Fehmida at your consultation. Sessions are usually spaced two to three weeks apart.
What is PB Serum?
PB Serum is an injectable made of purified enzymes. Each enzyme breaks down a different thing under the skin: fat, fibrous bands, or excess hyaluronic acid. Placed precisely, it softens stubborn pockets of fat such as a double chin, smooths cellulite, corrects filler that has been overdone or has migrated, and softens lumps after surgery.
PB Serum before and after: what changes and when
Most areas swell for a few days after treatment, so the first week is not the result. Change shows from about two weeks, and the full effect after four to six weeks. The number of sessions depends on the area and what is being treated, and is agreed with Dr. Fehmida at your consultation.
PB Serum or fat-dissolving injections?
Traditional fat-dissolving injections work on fat alone. PB Serum’s enzymes also break down the fibrous tissue that gives cellulite its dimpled look, which is why it is chosen for cellulite and firmer areas. For a small area of fat alone, either can work, and Dr. Fehmida will suggest the one that suits you.
